In recognition of the importance of women to their respective families, Fu Jen Catholic University (FJCU) seeks to adequately meet the parenting needs of its staff, ensuring that their children are safeguarded in the course of their upbringing. Gender equity education in FJCU is founded on four key principles: 1) development of various teaching resources pertaining to gender equity for FJCU, 2) creating a learning environment free of gender bias, grounded in the founding philosophy of Catholic universities, 3) promotion of the correct mentality and stance to adopt pertaining to issues such as gender equity, sexism, sexual harassment, and sexual assault, for all staff and students of FJCU, and 4) striving towards a society free of gender bias, rooted in the spirit of Catholic love of humanity. Through research and promotion of gender equity classes, pedagogy, and outcome assessments, we actively strive towards having gender equity in FJCU.
