FJCU Provides Whistleblower Protection Measures 2022

Article 11 and Article 8 of the FJCU Regulations on the Prevention of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, and Sexual Bullying stipulate that the university will provide appropriate measures to protect concerned parties (applicants, whistleblowers, and investigators). The guidelines also stipulate a secrecy clause. If the applicant is a student with special needs, the student complainant procedure must comply with relevant government regulations for students with special needs and an appeal and review committee will be convened. FJCU also has a legal services center that offers consultations and legal aid.

Article 19 of the Regulations Governing the Committee for Teacher Grievances, Article 5 of the Regulations Governing the Staff and Workers Review Committee, and Article 18 to 20 of the Regulations on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment, or Sexual Bullying on Campus stipulate that all concerned parties are obligated to safeguard confidential information, which includes the identity of the whistleblower.

The Committee for Teacher Grievances was formed following a school administration meeting on January 5th, 2006, and the regulations for the committee were revised on January 3rd, 2019.

The Staff and Workers Review Committee was formed on October 5th, 1995, in accordance with Ministry of Education Directive No. 048665, and the regulations for the committee were revised at a school administration meeting on June 14th, 2018.
