FJCU seeks to implement gender equity in education, and has never set any restrictions with regard to opportunities granted to female students in their education. The percentage of female students accepted and graduating from our school far exceed that of male students. In accordance with the constitution, the school aims to ensure gender equity in education by expunging gender discrimination through implementing relevant policies that place emphasis on gender equity.
FJCU implements a review of students’ graduation eligibility, and is in the process of setting up a system that reviews students’ graduation eligibility, records and tracks data, and estimates graduation rate.
The university has an advisor guidance system in place that includes providing students with guidance for their studies and lives With regard to academic help, there is a mid-term early warning system, as well as an academic roadmap and a online student portfolio tracking their learning journey, so that advisors can find out how their students are doing in their studies at any time, and provide timely assistance.
In the years between 2018 to 2020, the graduation rate for female students was 86% in 2018, 90% in 2019, and 90% in 2020. The graduation rate for female students is higher than that of male students, and as the graduation rate for female students is not lower than that of male students, there is no need for measures intended to reduce this difference.
