Regular events:
The Center for Continuing Education offers courses every two months as well as free courses for the public on occasion. The Women’s University at FJCU brings together internal and external resources to design courses based on women’s needs. The College offers at least two advanced-level courses per semester. The Department of Nursing at the College of Medicine organizes nursing-related seminars on a regular basis for nursing professionals and anyone who is interested. The College of Foreign Languages and Literatures organizes a Christmas Fair every year. Complemented by on-campus tree lighting events, Nativity Stable decorations at FJCU’s Immaculate Conception Chapel, and caroling in 6 foreign languages, the grand event creates an immersive Christmas atmosphere that attracts students, alumni, and the general public. The Faculty Development and Instructional Resources Center also holds seminars, lectures, and workshops to help develop teaching skills. A total of 100 events had been held from 2017 to 2019, all of which were open to the general public for free.
