Community Epidemic Prevention and Health Awareness – Long-Term Project
FJCU’s Department of Public Health has incorporated community service into its curriculum, offering courses such as “Sanitation Education” and “Promotion of Health”. Both modules arrange for students to visit elementary and junior high schools in Xinzhuang District to conduct the promotion of health education. “Mental Health” also incorporated volunteering into its curriculum.
Since 2011, the Department of Public Health has organized the Health Promotion in Schools International Recognition Project. Through unveiling ceremonies in schools all over Taiwan, we encourage schools (at the elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels) to promote healthy living, in turn fulfilling our social responsibility as a university to promote healthy living in local communities for the long term.
