FJCU collaborates with research centers in the EN for the welfare of laboratory animals 2020

Associate Professor Yen-Lin Chiu: Yes, as an active member of our university’s Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Professor Chiu attended the International Symposium for Alternatives to Lab Animal Testing held in September 2019 at Academia Sinica. By taking part in discussions and sharing a summary of the lectures given by leading experts of the European Union Reference Laboratory for alternatives to animal testing (EURL ECVAM) and the Korea Institute of Toxicology, Professor Chiu helped to promote international best practices in the field of animal welfare.
