FJCU implements SDG-related projects and policies 2020

1. FJCU collaborates with research centers in the US for the welfare of laboratory animals

2. Hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia are common illness among those living in highly developed countries. FJCU works with the NCD Risk Factor Collaboration to conduct research on hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia prevalence and incidence rates in Taiwan so as to make data on Asians available to the world and provide figures to help address hypertension, hyperglycemia, and hyperlipidemia

3. PM2.5 air pollution is a health issue common to highly industrialized cities. FJCU collaborates with Duke University to understand the effects of PM2.5 on human health so as to spur action on the issue of air pollution globally.

4. The FJCU Master’s Program in Social Enterprise and the FJCU Office of Research and Development adopted the following measures in following with its strategies: the program is designed with required courses in social engagement at its core, and integrates the study of social governance theories coupled with practical social design techniques and the diverse talents of a comprehensive university. Students and faculty alike participate in collaborations at more than 10 locations, both local and overseas, concurrently pushing for the practical implementation of SDGs and the study of co-governance mechanisms.

5. FJCU collaborated with B Lap Taiwan to found the first B Corp Program in the Asia-Pacific region, developing talents that will push corporate sustainability.
