Collaboration between FJCU’s School of Law and Government Agencies for Policy-Focused Research 2020

FJCU faculty members often work with governmental agencies through research projects, collaborative projects, and ad hoc projects to provide research in policy planning and implementation as well as to contribute to the formulation and sustainable development of government policies. Such projects are listed below:
School of Law
Associate Professor Yen-Lin Chiu collaborated with the Ministry of Science and Technology on a project titled The Euro @Twenty: Lessons for the Next Generation of Virtual Currencies.
This study considers the similarities and differences between virtual currencies and the Euro, and compares legal research methods to explore new trends in the use of virtual currencies in international business transactions. The analysis will discuss the unique opportunities for the use of virtual currencies and the potential risks arising in this context, as well as provide possible solutions to ensure the integrity and stability of the global financial order.
