To give elementary students in remote areas the opportunity to do extracurricular reading and learning, Fu Jen Catholic University has promoted its Everyone Can Learn Digital School project since 2006, and established an online reading club to create a space where people of all ages can make friends through books.
University students can use their knowledge to guide elementary school students as they read picture books together. It is hoped that by doing so, it will not only help stimulate the childrens reading ability and critical thinking, but also cultivate in FJCU students the spirit of serving others and giving back to society by using what they have learned as well as an understanding of how professional knowledge and social development are linked.
