Equality in student admissions 2020

International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC)

At FJCU, we have a non-discriminatory admissions policy. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity. Taking education equality into account, the school provides access to resources for underprivileged students by allocating extra places for students who fall under certain categories, such as indigenous students, students who reside on outlying islands (e.g. Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, Green Island, Orchid Island), and students with disabilities, as well as creating special programs for indigenous students. In the 2019 academic year, the school provided 179 additional places, which are detailed as follows:

  • Places for indigenous students :121
  • Places for students from outlying islands :19
  • Places in the indigenous students’ program in the Department of Financial and Economic Law :24
  • Places for students with disabilities :14
