The FJCU Service Center for Remote Area Education in Taiwan promotes the well-being of people living in remote areas 2019

Planning and providing medical services as well as health care education for people living in remote areas not only serves to enhance the image of FJCU and FJCU Hospital faculty, staff, students as people who care about and contribute to society through their medical service, but also affords volunteering opportunities for FJCU faculty and staff, strengthening the cooperative ties between the university and the hospital and realizing the schools commitment to social responsibility.
FJCUs Medical Care for Remote Areas Project is a long-term project in which a medical team would be stationed at Yuli Township, Hualien at regular intervals. Depending on the needs of the township as well as the availability of the medical staff, medical services for socially disadvantaged groups would be provided two to three times annually.
