FJCUs College of Medicine (COM) was established with the aim of cultivating future medical practitioners imbued with the spirit of devotion, caring for others, and commitment to ethical practice. FJCUs campus ministry has incorporated the Catholic tenet of respect for all life into the heart of the required courses offered at all departments under the COM. From the exploration of life to making a commitment to life, COM students are taught to be tactful and view cadavers not simply as objects to be experimented on, but rather as the people they once were.
