Dialogue with government and non-governmental organizations 2020

Government agencies:
1. FJCU collaborated with the Environmental Protection Administration to gather experts in Taiwan and from European countries to discuss and come up with a proposal that would minimize the impact of offshore wind farms on marine mammals and birds along Taiwan’s coastline.
2. FJCU aided the Ministry of Labor in setting standards for permissible exposure to 1-bromopropane in workplaces.
3. FJCU invited committee members from the Ministry of Labor to help faculty and students understand the dynamics between the government and labor unions

NGOs:
1. FJCU signed a letter of intent with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy to strengthen the promotion of social responsibility and sustainability issues by the school and social enterprises.
2. FJCU invited Professor Tsai-chi Kuo of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to give a talk on the topic of “Why Colleges Need to be Concerned with Sustainable Development” to FJCU faculty and students. He touched on issues of environment sustainability and social welfare in universities, drawing a link to the UN’s SDGs in the process.
