In order to implement our goal of having sustainable open participation, FJCU has participatory bodies to identify and engage local stakeholders as well as have them participate in said bodies, with the Office of Public Affairs being primarily responsible for what is listed below:
1. Strengthening alumni relations and services: including the supervision of the general alumni association as well as handling the business of the general alumni association in Europe, the regional alumni associations in Europe, the alumni associations in the Asia Pacific region, the Excellent Long-Established University Consortium of Taiwan (ELECT) alumni associations, and so forth.
2. Organizing various kinds of alumni networking activities: including business concerning outstanding alumni, as well as handling the business of the general alumni association in North America, the regional alumni associations in the United States and Canada, and the regional alumni associations in China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
3. Public affairs liaison and relationship building within and outside the university, as well as press and stakeholder management and reception.
4. Press release and media application liaison: including communication with and reception of the media, assisting with news interviews, updating information on journalists regularly, and actively liaising with the media to maintain a good relationship.
