FJCU has established the "Environmental Protection and Safety and Health Policy" to create a sustainable campus that is environmentally friendly, safe, healthy, and happy, based on the philosophy of "truth, goodness, beauty, and sacredness". All faculty, staff and students unanimously promise and assist external stakeholders such as contractors, visitors and the community in their efforts to:

1. Implement self-management and comply with the obligations that should be observed.


2. Promote energy conservation and waste reduction and actively prevent accidental pollution.


3. Ensure safety and health, and strive for risk reduction management.


4. Optimize processes and operations to improve the performance of environmental safety and health.


5. Strengthen the communication and training and encourage the participation of all internal and external members.

In 2001, FJCU established the "Code of Practice for Laboratory Waste Disposal in Fu Jen Catholic University"
and various environmental protection or safety and health policies and specifications: Carry through self-management, promote energy conservation and waste reduction, actively prevent accidental pollution, and strive for risk reduction management.
The Environmental Protection, Safety and Health Committee meets four times a year to review and adjust policies.

The safety and anti-pollution equipment in the "waste liquid/non-infectious/solid waste temporary storage site" includes ventilation equipment, explosion-proof piping and lighting, exhaust gas adsorption boxes, safety and protection first aid cabinets, and decontamination equipment like water washing towers to prevent the waste liquid from polluting the surrounding environment. For large solid waste, a pulverizer is in place to crush solid particles into smaller particles to achieve the goal of volume reduction. The related equipment is budgeted for regular maintenance.

In addition, the university has installed fire alarm equipment in the experimental sites, which is connected to the campus security center and the security guard room and can facilitate notification and evacuation in the first time of a disaster to ensure the safety of people.

  本校訂定「環境保護暨安全衛生政策」，秉持「真、善、美、聖」之理念，營造環保、安全、健康、快樂的永續發展校園為目標。全體教職員工生一致承諾並協助承攬商、訪客及社區等外部利害相關者努力達成：
  1.落實自主管理、符合應遵守的義務。
  2.推動節能減廢，積極預防事故汙染。
  3.確保安全健康，致力風險減免管理。
  4.優化流程作業，提升環安衛的績效。
  5.強化溝通訓練，鼓勵內外全員參與。
  
  本校於2001年訂定「輔仁大學實驗室廢棄物處理作業規範」及各項環境保護或安全衛生政策規範：落實自主管理、推動節能減廢，積極預防事故汙染、致力風險減免管理。每年進行4次環境保護安全衛生委員會議進行政策的審議與調整。
  設置「廢液/非感染性/固體廢棄物暫存場」之安全防汙設備有抽風設備、防爆配管及燈具、廢氣吸附箱、安全防護急救櫃設備，且有水洗塔除汙設備，避免廢液產生之廢氣汙染週邊環境，大型固體廢棄物設有粉碎機將固體顆粒粉碎成為較小的粒子，以達減量之目標，相關設備皆定期編列預算維護保養。
  另本校於實驗場所亦安裝消防警報設備，連線校安中心及警衛室，於災害發生第一時間能立即通報及疏散，保障人員安全。
