Fu Jen Catholic University was the first to set up an Indigenous Students Resource Center. The center works to develop a diversity of culture within the university as well as to use the schools resources to improve the effectiveness and quality of education for indigenous peoples. Indigenous students are encouraged to return and give back to their communities after they graduate. In 2017, the university started an in-service masters program for indigenous peoples in the Department of Financial and Economic Law. The program accepts 25 indigenous students every year.
