Intangible cultural assets, flower-wrapping craftsmanship training program

When teaching silk-wrapped flower crafting techniques, courses typically focus on silk-wrapped flower art itself and lack both connections to modern life and information related to cultural assets. For this reason, when this the artist were creating this program for the intangible cultural asset of silk-wrapped flower crafting techniques, the program not only included the technical course teaching the art itself, but was also designed to go a step further and include interdisciplinary courses that related to preservation of cultural objects, explanation of cultural assets, traditional arts and cultural creativity, digital collections, local culture and modern life, museum and cultural asset preservation, cultural assets and marketing, traditional handicraft and fashion design. At the same time, an exhibit at the end of the course showcasing the items produced during the course promotes the beauty of silk-wrapped flower crafting to the public. This conforms with SDG4 goals of high-quality education and promoting lifelong learning.

Program of Family Life Education.

For the past few years, FJCU has been actively conducting professional certification training for individuals working in organizations related to family education. In accordance with governmental policy on the implementation and training of qualified personnel in academic institutions, and in consideration of the development needs of non-governmental organizations, FJCU offers family education credit courses. After they graduate from Taiwanese universities, FJCU invites scholars and related professionals specializing in marriage and family education to apply for professional certification in family education. This is one of the plans to promote future family education certification targets, with the expectation that FJCU will become a driving force for social impact.
  1. Strengthen the knowledge and abilities of family education workers.
  2. Assist family education workers in obtaining professional certification in family education.
  3. Promote the establishment of interactive networks among organizations related to family education.
