FJCU includes sex education in its curriculum and provides students with access to reproductive health care services. 2019

Through the promotion of preventive healthcare, students are educated on the prevention of HIV/AIDS as well as how to safeguard themselves from sexually-transmitted diseases, such as saying no to drugs. Sex education and information on reproductive health services are provided free of charge to students (in collaboration with official health and hygiene campaigns organized by the health authorities, in the form of websites, LINE groups, talks, health consultations, medical referrals, and so forth). The government provides pregnant women with 15 prenatal examinations and health consultations; pregnant students are able to take medical leave for prenatal examinations and maternity leave, so as to ensure that these students receive ample care.
