Indigenous Students Resource Center:
FJCU was one of the first universities in Taiwan to set up an Indigenous Students Resource Center. The center’s purpose is to develop the school’s multicultural characteristics, integrate school resources, assist the school’s indigenous students, and provide better life and academic guidance, so as to help indigenous students learn better and more effectively. The center also encourages indigenous students to return to their tribes after graduation to give back to their communities.
In 2017, FJCU opened an in-service master's program for indigenous students in the Department of Financial and Economic Law. The program accepts 25 students each year, bringing the total number of indigenous students on campus to 514 in 2017, 511 in 2018, 470 in 2019, and 522 in 2020.
